Tree Removal

There are many different levels of service available when removing a tree depending on whether it is alive, dead, compromised by disease or damaged by lightning. Routinely, the Arborist will have to carefully dismantle the tree with special equipment for rigging. Climbing the tree and cutting it into more manageable sizes to protect landscape or other structures under or near the tree being removed is one option when a bucket truck or crane does not have access.
Safe tree removal is our goal and takes skill because most trees cannot be dropped in a yard due to their location, the landscape, and surrounding obstacles. When we have crane access; we use one to protect your property and for the safety of our team. It is the safest and most proficient method of tree removal. The majority of our customers want all debris removed; we also are happy to place debris in other locations on site if the property is available. After tree removal, many of our customers have the stump ground as well.

Pruning

Well pruned trees look amazing and can increase your property value by 20-30%! It is imperative to keep your trees well pruned every 3-5 years for enhanced health and structural integrity. Pruning can reduce the chances of storm/wind damage to the canopy and keep them looking very uniform and safe. Proper tree pruning is a skill that is only learned by education and experience. Removing broken, diseased or dead branches prevents decay and live branches may be thinned to control or direct growth and/or to improve the structure of the tree. Air circulation in the canopy and leaves cause a photosynthetic process which results in the release of Oxygen for our environment. Some branches that overhang driveways or structures need to be removed if they are a safety hazard or pose a risk of falling. Potentially dangerous limbs or diseased trees can be assessed by one of our Certified Arborists.
“Topping” trees is not proper pruning and we do not top trees unless the customer is adamant about having this done. It is very unhealthy for the tree and looks hideous when done. It will often kill a tree if to much is removed during the process. Having the tree technically pruned or removed is a better option when feasible.
Grading

Grading in civil engineering and landscape architectural construction is the work of ensuring a level base, or one with a specified slope, for a construction work such as a foundation, the base course for a road/driveway or landscape improvements, and/or surface drainage. It is often done using heavy machinery like bulldozers and excavators to roughly prepare an area and then using a grader and skid steer for a fine grading and finish work.
Many yards and lots do not have positive drainage of at least 1% fall away from all buildings on site and out to a storm drainage culvert or creek. With 15 years of experience in residential and commercial grading; we can offer many diverse solutions to correct any water control issues you may have.
Options include: Storm drainage culverts, Gutter drains, French drains, Trench drains, and re-working the sub-grade to a minimum of 1% fall for positive water flow in the proper direction. We guarantee all our work and you will not have a problem when the job is complete!

Hardscape

Hardscape means any hard surface landscape such as a patio, driveway, retaining wall, or any other hard surface landscaping made up of hard wearing materials such as stone, slate, pavers, and concrete as opposed to soft landscaping which is grass, mulch, bark, and other such items.
Our company specializes in patios, sidewalks, and Segmental block retaining walls. These options are often used to create boundaries between hardscapes and earth landscaping features, or softscapes. From an aesthetic perspective, hardscaping allows workers to erect landscaping features that would otherwise be impossible due to soil erosion, or that compensate for large amounts of foot traffic that would cause wear on bare earth or grass. Paver walkways are aesthetically pleasing and very durable to weather and age when installed properly.
Retaining walls are structures designed to restrain soil on unnatural slopes. They are used to hold back soils between two different undesirable elevations or in areas where the landscape needs to be shaped severely and engineered for more specific purposes. Retaining walls can be erected to maximize usable lawn for recreational activities when property acreage is limited in urban areas. We are happy to assess your yard to see if hardscaping options are appropriate for you!
